Siri might frustrate you less once you meet the woman who voiced it.
On Friday, CNN revealed that voice actor Susan Bennett is the voice behind Siri, Apple’s personal assistant on iPhones and iPads.
Is Siri a real person?
Bennett only became aware she was the voice of Siri when a friend contacted her through email in October 2011. Despite Apple not having acknowledged or confirmed its use of Bennett, audio-forensics experts hired by CNN expressed 100 percent certainty that Bennett is the voice of Siri.
Who is the voice of Siri now?
Who is the voice of Siri based on iOS 11? The original voice for Siri, all the way until iOS 10 has been based on Susan Bennett’s voice. Now, the new voice uses machine learning to replicate the way that people actually speak. This is all according to Apple’s engineering head Craig Federighi.

Is Siri a boy or a girl?
Apple has Siri, Microsoft’s Cortana is voiced by a woman, and Alexa skews female, too. Google’s Assistant defaults to a woman’s voice as well, but they have just (finally) added a male version.
